The Twin Cities are on so many good lists but with the recent crackdown on mortgage fraud, the Twin Cities real estate is on one of the worst. The FBI’s Top Ten for mortgage fraud.

Dubbed ‘Operation Malicious Mortgage’, yesterday the FBI announced charges for over 400 individuals across the United States.

Now most of the cases in Minnesota have already come to light but more are on the way. The major ones include Parish Marketing and TJ Waconia. Most of the sales of were made to straw buyers promising real estate riches.

The Parish scheme has left cities in the south metro reeling with foreclosed homes and homeowners left in over their heads.

Victims of the TJ Waconia have gone as far as setting up their own website and can better fill you in on the crimes committed.
