The auction is to be done by Real Estate Disposition which has that all to familiar television infomercial. After reports surfaced that they bought the domain Auction.com for a cool $2.5 million (note that I have no idea what was paid for, just a rumor from a few months back), it doesn’t’ look like this will be the last stop.
Anyways, it appears from the website that at this point… 159 homes are set to auction off at the Minneapolis Marriot City Center.
Some homes have opening bids as low as $500. Just make sure you understand what you might be getting into.
All these homes have public open houses or get in early before the rush.
Open House Dates & Times
September 5th 11am-4pm
September 12th 11am-4pm
September 13th 11am-4pm
If you are interested in checking out some of these properties, let me know… it’s always good to have some sort of representation on your side when dealing with these things.
]]>The Village at Mendota Heights offers a quite area for residences but the downtown feel with the Market Square retail and office area.
The Village offers single level condos and unique row townhomes that come from an award winning developer.
Condominiums are single level and come complete with brick/stucco exteriors and patios with gas line grill hook-ups. Square footage for the condos are around 1300-1900 and range in price from$330k to mid $500′s.
Enjoy private entrances on the town homes along with heated underground parking. These aren’t your normal townhouses you see all over the city either, offering 10 foot ceilings on the main level and 9 foot on the second level.
Both styles of condos and town homes come complete with luxury upgrades in the kitchen and baths as well as being energy efficient when it comes to the building of the units.
There are some existing units for sale in the area so if you don’t want to buy new, make sure to check out the resale units as well.
You don’t have to worry about much in this association maintained environment. Association dues run around $470 on the condos and in the low $300′s for the town homes.
There is also a senior apartment complex consisting of around 60 units.
This area is where all the retail and office space is located. Centered around a common area with a fountain, there is variety of shops ranging from Tommy Chicago’s Pizzeria to a couple of wine bars.
Click here for a complete list of tenants that are in The Village.
No excuse not to work out because there is an Anytime Fitness in the area along with open space, parks and close to trail systems.
You can find The Village off of highway 110 and Dodd Road, right off 35E and not that far off from Highway 3 (Robert St).

]]>One trail that I hit up this past weekend was the Cannon Valley Trail in Cannon Falls. The ride is fairly easy and is around 40 miles round trip. The trail is 90% shaded so no wicked sunburn and has a slight decline or incline depending on the how you look at it.
You can start at a couple of different places on the trail, in Cannon Falls (me), in the middle at Welsh rest stop or in Red Wing. There is a map of the trail on the Cannon Valley Trail website along with pictures and more information.
The ride costs a cheap $3 that I am happy to pay because the trail is in excellent condition and maintained by a joint board. Grab a season pass for $20 or a lifetime pass for $300.
Below is a map of the Cannon Valley Trail that tracks the distance covered of your ride. Anybody can sign up at Map My Ride and track distance, log training view trails or network with local cycling enthusiasts. There is also a iphone app that will log your ride while your cycling.
]]>Another reason why Minneapolis is one of the best places to live.
]]>The dates are as follow:
July 19th thru 26th 2009
You can grab more info about the events on the website here.
Apparently the Remax balloon is making an appearance, make sure to grab a ride on Saturday the 18th.
flickr photo cred
Why the wait? The city has been waiting for the developer to open more streets in the neighborhood and due to massive home sales in new construction [hint sarcasm], streets are finally paved and parking is available.
Check out more pics from Brockway Park disc golf on flickr.
Looking for other disc golf courses in Minnesota or close to the Twin Cities, make sure to give this list of courses a try.

Exact Dates (according to the website)
Looks like the website is not updated from the Fall Showcase to show homes that are available on the Spring Preview. Keep checking back to see if they are or I am sure you will be able to pick up the book at some local gas station coming up soon.
