The cool thing about Dwellicious is that it now works live on Living Twin Cities home search provider Diverse Solutions.

The concept is simple, find a home here or any site and bookmarket it to Dwellicious to come back for viewing later. The problem with some search sites is they don’t offer all homes for sale (not this one because homes come straight from the MLS), which in turn leads to a problem of keeping track of your favorites. Dwellicious keeps the home search organized.

Go ahead, create you account here and get bookmarking!

Zestimate on White House Falls Below $300 Million http://www.livingtwincities.com/zestimate-on-white-house-falls-below-300-million/ http://www.livingtwincities.com/zestimate-on-white-house-falls-below-300-million/#comments Thu, 22 Jan 2009 05:46:14 +0000 Jason Sandquist http://www.livingtwincities.com/?p=311 What the hell… as soon as Barack Obama moves into the White House Zillow Zestimates that the most famous address in the world, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave has sunken below the $300 million mark for a home value. Have you seen the monthly mortgage payment for this sucker? A zero down loan, 30 year fixed at 5.15% comes in at $1,718,246 a month!

On January 8th, the White House Zestimate was over $308 million, 12 days and over $11 million depreciation! I think I would be worried Mr. President.

The market reports are based on a variety of statistics that bring together current data of not only homes that sold but equity loss as well. You can view 165 market areas all the way down to the local level to get a better idea of how your area is performing.

How did Minneapolis do?

Overall Minneapolis showed a 6.5% decline compared to 12.1% in St. Paul. A couple of cities posted declines greater than 15% and only one city, Carver posted a decline of less than 1%.

However, it is very important to note that some of the cities that posted large declines are due in large part because of the amount of foreclosures. These cities were part to large amount of fraud especially the outer ring suburbs.

Going back to the national scale, a couple of disturbing stats that came from the data was the amount of people that have negative equity. If you purchased you house in 2006, 45% are underwater and within the last five years about 29% owe more on their home than what it is worth.

Just added Altos Real Time Data Charts http://www.livingtwincities.com/just-added-altos-real-time-data-charts/ http://www.livingtwincities.com/just-added-altos-real-time-data-charts/#comments Wed, 06 Aug 2008 23:15:34 +0000 Jason Sandquist http://www.livingtwincities.com/?p=200 Recently I put a widget in the sidebar to the right at the top that shows Minneapolis real time real estate market stats. These charts are great and are made by Altos Research. I created a page under the resources tab on the toolbar that gives you more cities to look at. More in depth charts will be coming soon.

What’s so great about the charts?

The charts provide REAL-TIME market stats which gives you a better idea of what is really happening in the market, not just the general Twin Cities area but all the way down to each individual city. With the charts you will get a better idea of where home prices are heading and get a better idea of market demands.

If you need help in better understanding what the charts mean, just ask.

Get Your Walkscore http://www.livingtwincities.com/get-your-walkscore/ http://www.livingtwincities.com/get-your-walkscore/#comments Sat, 28 Jun 2008 00:17:44 +0000 Jason Sandquist http://www.livingtwincities.com/?p=152

Here is a fun website to go play around with, Walkscore. This website allows you input your address to see how walkable your neighborhood is, relevance to its location to shopping, retail, restaurants, parks or just about anything else that makes an area to live enjoyable.

Inman News touched on this a couple of days ago with an article relating to the popularity of Walkscore given the price of gas and the importance of being close areas of walking distance.

The website rates the area where you live on a scale from 1-100, with the 100 being a walkers paradise and 0 being driving only. If you’re into celebrity stalking, you can also get the lowdown on how walkable some celebrities palaces are.

Coldwell Banker releases new app for Facebook http://www.livingtwincities.com/coldwell-banker-releases-new-app-for-facebook/ http://www.livingtwincities.com/coldwell-banker-releases-new-app-for-facebook/#comments Fri, 20 Jun 2008 01:23:20 +0000 Jason Sandquist http://www.livingtwincities.com/?p=139

Coldwell Banker asks What’s your Housetrology? with a release of it’s latest Facebook app. First things first, is that even a friggin word? The way the app is set up it asks you a series of questions which will then try and create a house style based on your answers.

Straight from the press release

which allows participants to uncover their inner “house signs” and better understand the various factors which influence their home style preferences.

Not sure how far you can really go with this but here is my Housetrology
